Calculate Child Support

For individuals who are trying to calculate child support, there are several factors that must be figured into the calculation. Courts typically take the state laws and limits into consideration first and foremost. After that, the court will look at the number of children the custodial parent is seeking support for. Then, they will look at the amount of money that is earned by the non-custodial parent. After that, they will determine whether or not the non-custodial parent is paying court-ordered child support for children outside of the current family. After that, they will calculate the amount of the child support payments. There are several places online where individuals can calculate child support, or get a rough estimate of how much they will end up paying the non-custodial parent as determined by the child support court. There may be a percentage taken out of the indivdiual's weekly or monthly paycheck in order to cover the child support payments.
