Child Support Court

Child support court is the court system that governs issues related to child support. This court system determines how much money non-custodial parents must pay for child support, as well as how much money joint custody parents must pay for child support. The amount is determined based on several things, including how many children there are, how much money the non-custodial parent or both parents make, as well as whether or not either parent is paying court-ordered child support to any other individual for children outside of the current relationship. If an individual violates child support court, he or she could have their wages garnished, or could spend time in jail. Any individual who must attend a child support court should contact an experienced child support attorney to protect their best interests. An attorney can explain the current child support laws as well as fight for their clients' rights in court.
