Child Support Enforcement Agency

A Child Support Enforcement Agency is an organization in every state which helps custodial parents in many different ways. They will help the custodial parent establish paternity in cases where it is unknown, so that the correct father is involved with the children's lives, and is paying child support. They will help find the non-custodial parent if the custodial parent is having a difficult time doing so. They will help the custodial parent obtain a court order requiring the non-custodial parent to pay a determined amount of child support each month and they cah help enforce that court order if the non-custodial parent is unwilling to pay. The Child Support Enforcement Agency has many ways of making an unwilling non-custodial parent pay child support, including having their driver's licenses suspended, taking the amount of child support directly from their paycheck and even issuing an arrest warrant for the non-custodial parent. This is a very valuable resource for custodial parents in every state and they can be reached by getting in touch with the local Department of Human Services, who works closely with the Child Support Enforcement Agency.
