Child Support Forms

Child support forms often serve several different purposes. In the beginning of a child support hearing, there are forms which request that the court order a non-custodial parent to pay child support. Typically, these forms are filed by the attorney of the custodial parent. Non-custodial parents who may be in arrears can file a credit for arrears form which may give them some extended time to pay and keep them from being penalized. A request for modification is a child support form which asks the judge to review the case because something has changed which may prevent the non-custodial parent from paying the child support payments as ordered, such as loss of a job or layoff. There is a grievance form as well, that may be filed if either party is not holding up their end of the arrangement ordered by the court. Most of the time, these forms are filed by the attorney of the custodial or non-custodial parent. The attorneys know which forms must be filed with the court in order to seek the outcome of his or her client.f
