Fathers Rights Child Support

While the court will take into consideration father's right, child support payments must be made no matter what. Often times, mothers who have full custody of their children may decide that they do not want the children to have their visitation with the father. The father will then respond by refusing to pay child support to the mother. This is a difficult situation to get into, because if the mother reports the father for non-payment of child support, he could receive jail time, suspended driver's license, wage garnishments and more. However, father's rights are very important as well. If a father is not receiving his court-ordered visitation, he should contact a child support or child custody attorney and take the mother back to court. He can file a grievance because she refuses to let him have the visitation that he was granted in court. Another option is to take a police officer when going to pick up the children, as well as the court visitation papers. Fathers have the right to visit with their children and if the mother refuses to allow them, it's important to keep paying child support and keeping receipts while fighting to have that visitation. This will keep the father from being penalized.
