He or she can advise you on how to approach the case in a court of law, and can provide valuable representation. Another method is to contact the Office of Child Support Enforcement. This office is available in each state and indivdiuals can contact the Department of Human Services in their area to receive contact information. The OCSE can help custodial parents establish paternity, locate the non-custodial parent and obtain a court order so that the non-custodial parent will pay child support. They can also help the court enforce the child support order by suspending the non-custodial parent's driver's license if they refuse to pay, take the money directly from the paycheck of the non-custodial parent or even have an arrest warrant issued for the non-custodial parent.
