Reduce Salary

In situations where one or more of the parents of a child have an instance of reduce salary, it may be necessary to alter the child support agreements between those parents. Generally, this process is done when there is a significant reduction in the salary of one of the parents. For example, if a parent loses his or her job they may be unable to afford support payments for the child as they were paying prior to this time. In other instances, a custodial parent may request additional support because he or she has lost their job and requires additional support from the non custodial family member.
